Stand Up Paddleboarding is very easy on flat water, which is where we will be going on your initial tour. People seldom fall in the water. Usually about 1 in 10 people fall in and they usually get the hang of it within a few minutes. (If you are interested, after your first tour on flat water, we can take you out on the Atlantic to get on some waves).
Beach Eco Tours requires individuals to be at least 12 years of age in order to take a Stand Up Paddleboard Tour.
Beach Eco Tours has a variety of Flatwater locations that allow you to see the natural side of Southeastern Virginia. We often see Ospreys diving for fish, many species of waterfowl, fish jumping and on our ocean tours we usually see dolphins- up close and personal.
Stand Up Paddleboard Tours are $50.00 per person. The tours are approximately 1 1/2 hours on the water which will allow us to cover approximately 2 miles. There is about 15 minutes of training preceding the tour.
Stand Up Paddleboard Tours are available year round (you have to provide your own wetsuits, they are NOT provided). We Do Recommend the use of "water shoes" or booties. We have 4 tour times available during the warm months of the year. There are Daily tour times 9am, 12pm, 3pm and our sunset tour at 7pm. There are also some additional tour times added as needed.
